St Andrew's Street, Dublin

The street is named after St Andrew's Church, built in 1670 and designed by William Dobson.

The western end of the street was named Hog Hill in 1728[1] until 1776 after Abbey of the Blessed Virgin Mary del Hogges.

[2] The surgeon Philip Woodroffe lived in the street and died at his home there in 1799.

[3] The famous Restaurant Jammet stood on St Andrew's Street between 1901 and 1926.
