'Copper Sunday', an annual church parade from RMC to St. George's, in which cadets took up a collection of copper coins, was established in 1882 or earlier.

After the congregation were addressed by the Lord Bishop of Ontario, the cadet battalion marched back to the college.

The King's Colour of the Royal Military College of Canada was placed in the cathedral in 1942.
