Stafford, Humboldt County, California

Stafford (formerly, Brown's Mill and Brown's Camp)[2] is an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, California.

[1] It is located on the south bank of the Eel River 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of Scotia,[2] at an elevation of 138 feet (42 m).

[1] The town was founded in 1895 or 1896; the name honors Judge Cyrus G.

[2] An attraction in the area was the Stafford Inn, a converted bunk house from Brown's mill.
