Staldenried

Staldenried is a municipality in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

[3] Staldenried has an area, as of 2011[update], of 14.3 square kilometers (5.5 sq mi).

[4] The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Argent, a Pine tree Vert trunked and eradicated proper between two Trefoils of the second.

[4] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (549 or 99.1%) as their first language, French is the second most common (1 or 0.2%) and Romansh is the third (1 or 0.2%).

In the federal election, a total of 317 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 71.4%.

The education system in the Canton of Valais allows young children to attend one year of non-obligatory Kindergarten.

In Staldenried there were a total of 4 classes and 54 students in the primary school.

All the lower and upper secondary students from Staldenried attend their school in a neighboring municipality.
