Stanton Babcock

[3] Babcock was also a Major General of the Army who commanded the 2nd Armored Division between April 1956 and June 1957.

In 1925 Babock graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point and was commissioned in the Cavalry.

In 1950 Babcock served as one of the advisors of John Foster Dulles on the Japanese Peace Treaty negotiations.

His next assignment led him to France where he served as Chief of the Military Assistance Advisory Group.

Finally he was assigned to the staff of the United States Mission to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Paris.
