At the time, a LucasArts representative indicated that the game may be revived through a licensing deal with an outside studio, but until then Star Wars 1313 would remain on hold.

Though he gave the 1313 team more access to the Star Wars Universe, he also began to switch characters and rewrite the story based on what he felt would be more fitting for the game.
