Stenanthemum reissekii

Stenanthemum reissekii is a species of flowering plant in the family Rhamnaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.

Stenanthemum reissekii is an erect or low-lying shrub that typically grows to a height of 10–50 cm (3.9–19.7 in), its young stems densely covered with rust-coloured, star-shaped hairs.

[2][3][4] Stenanthemum reissekii was first formally described in 1995 by Barbara Lynette Rye in the journal Nuytsia from specimens collected by Alex George, north of Badgingarra in 1966.

[2] This species grows on laterite hills between Mount Peron in Lesueur National Park and Badgingarra, in the Geraldton Sandplains bioregion of south-western Western Australia.

[2][3][4] Stenanthemum reissekii is listed as "not threatened" by the Government of Western Australia Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
