Adams served as dean of the Old Dominion University Batten College of Engineering and Technology from 2016 to 2019.
Adams earned a B.S., cum laude, in mechanical engineering from the North Carolina A&T State University in 1989.
[1] Her dissertation was titled, An Investigation of the Attributes Contributing to Team Effectiveness of Engineering and Science Faculty.
[2] Adams joined the faculty of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1998 as an assistant professor of industrial and management systems engineering.
[1] In 2016, she joined Old Dominion University as the dean of its Batten College of Engineering and Technology.
