Stephen Glaister CBE (born 21 June 1946) is Emeritus Professor of Transport and Infrastructure at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London, where he was also director of the Railway Technology Strategy Centre.
He is a former board member of Transport for London and former director of the RAC Foundation.
[2] He is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and has been an advisor to many transport-related organisations and committees since the late 1970s.
He was first appointed the Chair of the Office of Rail and Road in March 2015,[4] a position he was most recently reappointed to in January 2018.
