Stephen Joseph Harmelin (born May 7, 1939) is an American lawyer who specializes in corporate and transactional law.

He is the retired co-chairman of the Philadelphia based law firm Dilworth Paxson LLP.

[4] Johnson tasked Harmelin with the creation of the White House Fellows program.

[6] He also served as a member of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals Task Force to select counsel in certain lawsuits.

[9] Harmelin was close friends with former longtime Pennsylvania Senator, Arlen Specter.
