Sterling Foster Black

Sterling Foster Black (September 12, 1924 – May 20, 1996) was an American lawyer and politician.

Black served in the United States Army during World War II.

Black was also in the title insurance business in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

[1][2] He was a lawyer and had worked for the United States Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

[3][4][5] He was an outspoken critic of United States involvement in the Vietnam War, and served as the New Mexico state chairman of peace candidate Eugene McCarthy's presidential campaign.
