Steve Hale (politician)

Steve Hale (born March 28, 1954) is an American Democratic politician and businessman who served in the Mississippi State Senate, representing the 10th District, from 2012 to 2016.

[1] He attended Magnolia Heights School where he played baseball, graduating in 1972.

[3] In 2011, Hale ran as a Democrat to represent the 10th District (parts of Panola and Tate Counties)[3] in the Mississippi State Senate for the 2012–2016 term.

[4] Hale won the Democratic Primary, defeating Michael Cathey, on August 2, 2011.

[4] During his term, Hale was the vice chair of the Economic Development Committee, and was a member of the following other committees: Accountability, Efficiency, and Transparency; Education; Finance; Investigate State Offices; Judiciary A; and Universities & Colleges.
