Steve Wolfhard grew up in Kitchener and then Midland, Ontario and graduated from Sheridan College's Classical Animation program in 2003.
[1] Wolfhard also did illustration work for a series of graphic novels for children entitled Zombie Chasers.
[1][3] In January 2017, he announced that he was writing and storyboarding on the Cartoon Network series, Summer Camp Island, which premiered in 2018.
[4] Steve Wolfhard's work on Adventure Time gained him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination along with his then-storyboarding partner Tom Herpich for the fifth season episode "Be More".
[5] In 2017 he received the Doug Wright Spotlight Award (colloquially known as "The Nipper") for his book The Collected Cat Rackham (Koyama Press).
