Stewart Cole (Doc) Bowers (February 26, 1915 – December 14, 2005) was a pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1935 through 1937.
He played baseball at Gettysburg College before being signed by the Boston Red Sox.
[3] Bowers reached the majors in 1935 when he signed with the Boston Red Sox.
Following his baseball career, Bowers served in the United States Army during World War II and later worked for American Insulator Company[5] and for Ford Motor Company.
[6] Bowers died at the age of ninety in Havertown, Pennsylvania on December 14, 2005.
