Stour-class destroyer

Two Stour class destroyers served with the Royal Navy.

They were built by Cammell Laird in 1905 and purchased by the Admiralty in 1909 to replace losses.

HMS Stour and HMS Test displaced 570 tons, were 220 feet long and their Normand boilers generated 7,000 HP to produce 26 knots.

They were armed with four twelve pounders and two torpedo tubes.

They served in home waters during the Great War and were sold off in 1919.
