Stuart Hamilton (footballer)

Joseph Stuart Patrick Hamilton (13 September 1918 – 26 August 1990) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

His father died when he was three and his mother subsequently remarried to Charles Crandles, and the entire family immigrated to Victoria, Australia in May 1931.

During World War II, Hamilton initially served in the Volunteer Defence Corps of the Australian Army[3] before serving in the Royal Australian Air Force for the final years of the war.
