He served as union minister of state for Rural Development, Food & Public Distribution in Government of India.

He has actively participated in various organizations, including serving as the Patron of the All India Budokan Karate Federation.

His international engagements include representing Eicher Tractors Ltd. in countries like Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

He also led the Indian Delegation to the ASIAN COUNTRIES SUMMIT in Cambodia and Sri Lanka during his tenure as a Union minister.
