Puan Sri Sukumari Sekhar (2 August 1933 – 8 March 2021) was a Malaysian women's and children's rights activist.
[1] Sekhar was one of the founders and a former deputy president of the National Council of Women's Organizations, Malaysia.
In May 1977, she chaired the organising committee at the National Education Conference on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
The workshop recommended changing legislation around illegitimacy, producing a memorandum and a Children's Charter.
[1] Following the 2001 Kampung Medan riots, Sekhar proposed a foundation that could provide skill training for the youth.
