Sumangali (1965 film)

Sumangali is a 1965 Telugu-language drama film, produced by T. Govindarajan under the Venus Pictures & Ashok Movies banner[2] and directed by Adurthi Subba Rao.

She knits Viswam against her father's wish, making Shekar quit and become a wanderer as he has endeared Sarada since childhood.

Soon, Viswam reaches his hometown and picks up a new job, and when the couple dreams about a happy married life, things get shattered.

Distressed, Viswam is not able to tolerate the torture faced by Sarada, so he attempts suicide when Shekar rescues him and gives him a piece of advice to remarriage his wife.

During the time of the wedding, Sarada takes poison, declaring the Indian women's devotion to nuptials.
