As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 6,597 people, 2,241 households, and 1,747 families residing in the CDP.
The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.38% White, 0.27% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.88% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 1.36% from other races, and 1.73% from two or more races.
15.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 0.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
