Suzanne M. Stauffer (born 1957) is professor emerita, School of Information Studies, Louisiana State University.
Psychology Weber State University,(1978)[2] Her career in professional service included being the Adult Services Reference Librarian at the Long Beach Public Library New York, 1987–1989, the Judaica/Technical Services Librarian, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, New York City, 1989–1996, the Children's Librarian, County of Los Angeles Public Library, San Fernando Library, 2001–2003.
She collaborated with Alma Dawson on “Project Recovery: Educating the Next Generation of Librarians for South Louisiana.” Stauffer was also a Doctor of Design in Cultural Preservation as an affiliate faculty member in the College of Art & Design at Louisiana State University from 2019 to 2024.
Stauffer held many leadership positions in the Library History Round Table of the American Library Association including chair.
She also chaired the Library History Seminar XIV committee in 2021.
