Sven-Christian Kindler

Sven-Christian Kindler (born 14 February 1985) is a German politician of Alliance 90/The Greens who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Lower Saxony since 2009.

[1] After graduating from high school in 2004 at the Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule (Hanover), Kindler completed a dual degree program of business administration at the Leibniz-Akademie Hanover and at Bosch Rexroth Pneumatics, which he completed in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

[2] He has since been a member of the Budget Committee; in 2018, he also joined its Sub-Committee on European Affairs.

In this capacity, he is his parliamentary group's rapporteur on the annual budget of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, among others.

[6] In April 2024, Kindler announced that he would not stand in the 2025 federal elections but instead resign from active politics by the end of the parliamentary term.
