TÜRGEV

TÜRGEV (Turkish Youth and Education Service Foundation) is a non-profit foundation that provides dormitories and education services to girls.

[1] It was founded in 1996 under the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, when he was the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

At that time, it was serving only in Istanbul under the name Istanbul Youth and Education Service Foundation (ISEGEV), but in August 2012, it was renamed as Turkish Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) to expand its service area.

[2] The Chairman of the Board is Fatmanur Altun.

Esra Albayrak, daughter of Erdoğan, is among the members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
