Take the Whole Midrange and Boost It is the second studio album by the Belfast indie-pop duo Oppenheimer, released on 3 June 2008 through Fantastic Plastic in the UK and Bar/None Records in the US.
[1] According to O'Reilly, the income from commercial usage of tracks from their previous album, Oppenheimer, was crucial in funding the recording of Take the Whole Midrange and Boost It.
[2] However, the title of "Stephen McCauley for President" refers not to the American author but instead to the BBC Radio Foyle host.
However, Sendra also noted that the album's lack of a "clearly defined" genre or style might deter wider commercial success.
[1] Drowned in Sound reviewer Dom Gourlay wrote that the band was "embracing all genres from shoegaze to metal and hip-hop".
