Takotna (Upper Kuskokwim: Tochotno’ [tʰot͡ʃʰoʔno]) is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska, United States.
As of the 2000 United States Census,[9] there were 50 people, 19 households, and 12 families residing in the CDP.
36.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
There were 20.0% of families and 16.2% of the population living below the poverty line, including 25.0% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
[10] In 2009, $21 million in federal funding was allotted to build a new airport to serve the community.
