Tamima bint Yusuf ibn Tashfin (Arabic: تميمة بنت يوسف بن تاشفين) was an Almoravid princess, she was a woman of letters and a political leader,[1] who contributed to the development of the Almoravid movement.
[1][3] She lived in Fez,[1] and according to some sources she resided in Andalusia at some point in her life.
[1] Tamima received a literary education[4] and could recite poetry.
[4] She managed her finances herself[1] and closely watched her employees and accountants,[1] discussing her affairs with them to the smallest detail.
[4] Tamima responded to him with a line of poetry reminding him of the class difference that separate them.
