Tanja Niskanen

Following her second Olympic bronze medal win in February 2022, she announced her retirement from the national team and, in March 2022, confirmed her intention to step away from elite-level club competition following the 2022 Aurora Borealis Cup playoffs.

[1][2] Niskanen first joined the senior Finnish national team in 2009 and made her major tournament debut at the 2011 IIHF Women's World Championship.

[3][4] As a junior player with the Finnish national under-18 ice hockey team, Niskanen participated in the IIHF Women's U18 World Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
