TechnoServe is an international nonprofit that promotes business solutions to poverty in the developing world by linking people to information, capital and markets.
TechnoServe works with individuals and businesses to address local or regional constraints that prevent market systems from operating efficiently.
So in 1968, Ed launched TechnoServe – short for “technology in the service of mankind” – to help poor people by connecting them to information and market opportunities.
