The station is walking distance from the future Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) campus in Punggol.

[9] In May 2024, a post on the website of Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) initially said that Teck Lee would open to the public by August that year.

The website was subsequently edited to remove this information, with an SIT spokesperson explaining that this was because "details have not been finalised".
