In 1982, the "Iskar" factories were moved from Nahariya to Tefen and constituted the beginning of the industrial area.
The local council encompasses 62 factories, employing residents from all the surrounding settlements – Druze, Christians, Muslims, and Jews.
The park includes 25,000 square meters of industrial buildings spread over an area of 120 dunams.
