Test is an upcoming Tamil-language sports drama film directed by S. Sashikanth, who co-wrote the script with Suman Kumar and produced with Chakravarthy Ramachandra under YNOT Studios.

The film was announced in April 2023 with principal photography being commenced the same month and continued till January 2024, where it was predominantly shot in Chennai and Bengaluru.

The film features music composed by Shakthisree Gopalan, cinematography handled by Viraj Singh Gohil and editing by T. S. Suresh.

[2] The film will be based on an original story authored by Suman Kumar, who was known for writing The Family Man, and with whom Sashikanth would co-write the script.

[5] Shortly after the announcement, Sashikanth revealed the preliminary crew members of the film, which included cinematographer Viraj Singh Gohil, editor T. S. Suresh, production designers Madhusudhan and Shweta Sabu Cyril, sports director Dhruv Panjani, action choreographer Dinesh Subbarayan, stylists Poornima Ramaswamy and Anu Vardhan.
