[4] Tetiana Ostashchenko was born in Lviv (Western Ukraine) in August 1974, her father served in the military.
In 1996, she graduated with honors from the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (Faculty of Pharmacy).
[4] In 2020, she completed courses in defense and security sector reform and strategic leadership for management at Cranfield University (United Kingdom).
[4][5] On 17 June 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, she was promoted to major general.
[6] On 19 November 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made changes to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Medical Forces, replacing the commander Major-General Tetiana Ostashchenko with Major-General Anatoliy Kazmirchuk.
