Tetsuya Utsumi

As coach Tetsuya Utsumi (内海 哲也, Utsumi Tetsuya, born April 29, 1982 in Kyoto, Japan) is a Japanese professional baseball player for the Saitama Seibu Lions of Nippon Professional Baseball(NPB).

In 2003 NPB draft [jp], Yomiuri Giants selected him[1] and joined.

On December 20, 2018, he was sent to Saitama Seibu Lions as the human compensation from the earlier transferred for Ginjiro Sumitani.

His fastball is usually in the 140 km/h (87 MPH) range, and he complements it with a slurve, a changeup, and a forkball.
