Shot in and telecast from the DD Chandana station in Bangalore, the show was first aired on 4 January 2002 and in 2012 entered the Limca Book of Records registering a record for the longest-running television quiz show in India, upon completing 1,756 episodes.
[4][5] Each episode has three participants, who answer 12 questions in different fields such as education, science and technology, culture, and heritage.
Each correct answer earns the contestant a new book.
The re-run is telecast next day between 11.30 AM to 12:00 PM.In 2023 the number of questions has been reduced from 12 to 10.
Apart from these there are questions on State, National and international importance.
