The Face of Dorian Gray

"The Face of Dorian Gray" is the debut single written and recorded by the English singer Robert Marlow, released as both a 7-inch and 12-inch single in 1983 by Reset Records.

Produced by Vince Clarke and Eric Radcliffe, it was recorded at Blackwing Studios in London.

The single came to fruition after Marlow approached Clarke and asked about the possibility of a day's recording in the latter's aforementioned Blackwing Studios, a converted South London church.

[1] The song was based on the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890) by Oscar Wilde.
