The Three Amigos Campaign

The Three Amigos was a series of public service announcements to promote safe sexual practices that could be helpful in preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS.

[1] The series was first screened at the XV International AIDS Conference in 2004 and received a global launch in 2005 and was subsequently translated into six different languages.

This series was reached to audience through broadcast as well as distribution by non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, hospitals, and various groups across 150 countries and in 45 languages in 2012.

The series was a collaborative effort of both Firdaus Kharas and Brent Quinn.

The campaign relied extensively on hand-drawn animation, created by volunteers from four different countries.
