Thomas Bass

Thomas Alden Bass (born March 9, 1951) is an American writer and professor in literature, journalism, and history.

[2][3] Bass has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, NPR, BBC, and other venues to promote his books.

He is the author of numerous articles for Wired, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Smithsonian, Discover, and other magazines.

The 1985 publication of his book The Eudaemonic Pie is believed to have motivated the passage of a Nevada law banning the use of devices to gain an advantage at casino games.

Among the African scientists presented to readers of this book are Oyewale Tomori and Thomas Odhiambo.
