Thomas Chaplin (1591–1672) was an English draper and politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1659 and 1660.
He was a Presbyterian and supported the parliamentary cause in the English Civil War.
He was a J.P. for Suffolk from 1650 to March 1660 and was a member of the high court of justice in 1650.
In April 1660 he was re-elected MP for Bury St Edmunds for the Convention Parliament when he was involved in a double return.
