Thomas James Curry (born January 9, 1957) is an American government official who served as the 30th Comptroller of the Currency of the United States from April 9, 2012, until May 5, 2017.
Prior to joining the FDIC's board of directors, Curry served as Commissioner of Banks for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1990 to 1991 and from 1995 to 2003.
On April 1, 2013, Curry was named chairman of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) for a two-year term.
[4] He is a 1978[5] graduate of Manhattan College, summa cum laude, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
