Thomas J. Elderkin (born 1853) was a British-born American labor union leader.
He settled first in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and then in Buffalo, New York, before moving to Chicago.
The ISU affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, and Elderkin served as one of its vice-presidents in 1894/95.
[1][2] Elderkin was a delegate to the Chicago Trades and Labor Assembly for 16 years, and served as its president in 1895 and 1896.
In his spare time, he spoke and wrote widely on maritime law and labor unionism.
