Thompson is a borough in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, United States.

Both were named after Susquehanna County associate judge William Thompson.

The racial makeup of the borough was 98.7% White, 0.3% African American, and 1% from two or more races.

About 20.7% of families and 25.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 36.3% of those under the age of eighteen and 35.7% of those 65 or over.
