Air Vice-Marshal Timothy Telfer Jones, CBE is a senior officer in the Royal Air Force, currently serving as Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Capability & Force Design).
Jones attended Inverkeithing High School before graduating from the University of Edinburgh.
[1] Jones joined the Royal Air Force on 8 October 1995.
He became station commander at RAF Brize Norton in 2016,[3] and, after attending the Royal College of Defence Studies, Component Commander in the middle east in 2018 and head of air resources and plans at RAF Air Command in 2020.
[5] Jones was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2019 New Year Honours.
