Tina Rainford

Tina Rainford (born Christa Zalewski;[1] 25 December 1946 – February 2024) was a German singer from Berlin.

[2] She was a friend of Drafi Deutscher from school days onwards, and the wife of Peter Rainford until 1971.

Her musical career began in 1963 under the pseudonym of Peggy Peters, helped by Drafi Deutscher who wrote and produced her hits.

[6] The follow-up single Fly Away Pretty Flamingo also became a big hit in German-speaking Europe.

Rainford was active as late as 2016, recording an LP with Anna Lena, When Ladys meet.
