Tintah Township, Traverse County, Minnesota

Tintah is a name derived from the Dakota language meaning "prairie".

[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.9 square miles (90.5 km2), all land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 53 people, 18 households, and 14 families residing in the township.

16.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 18.2% of families and 22.5% of the population living below the poverty line, including 22.2% of under eighteens and 33.3% of those over 64.
