Tirohanga (Te Reo for "distant view") is a suburb of Lower Hutt City situated at the bottom of the North Island of New Zealand.
The suburb is located on the western side of the Hutt River and State Highway 2.
Tirohanga statistical area covers 1.18 km2 (0.46 sq mi).
The percentage of people born overseas was 32.2, compared with 27.1% nationally.
Although some people chose not to answer the census's question about religious affiliation, 49.2% had no religion, 33.6% were Christian, 0.2% had Māori religious beliefs, 4.7% were Hindu, 1.6% were Buddhist and 3.0% had other religions.
