There were 605 households, out of which 31.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families.

23.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Cowans Gap State Park, a Pennsylvania state park, is in Todd Township on Little Aughwick Creek, with part of it being in neighboring Metal Township in Franklin County.
