Tom Parry (economist)

Parry served as foundation chairman of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales (IPART) for the 12 years to 2004.

The inquiry's final report has had a significant influence on transport policy in the state, including the corporatization of Sydney Ferries, the reform of CountryLink, and the restructuring of the fare system.

The findings and recommendations of the inquiry have played a crucial role in shaping transportation initiatives and decision-making processes in New South Wales.

He was a director of Australian Stock Exchange Compliance Ltd, Powerco, New Zealand, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Icon Water, ActewAGL and a member of the Sydney Opera House Trust.
