Halfway to the final challenge it turns out that Tanner cut his Honda in half and manages to catch up with Adam and Rut.

Tanner buys a 1999 Mazda Miata with a 140hp engine in a light weight car and due its barebones no thrill performance, Rutledge selects a 2002 Subaru WRX Wagon with 227hp in a rally bred machine and due to its practicality as well as racing heritage and Adam drives a 1969 Volkswagen Baja Bug with only 50hp but is possibly best RWD car at going off road.
