Torrey C. Harris (born March 12, 1991) is an American politician serving as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives from the 91st district.
Alongside Eddie Mannis, Harris was one of the first two openly-LGBT state representatives elected in Tennessee.
[2] Torrey challenged incumbent John DeBerry who had re-registered as independent in 2020.
[3] After being redistricted to District 91, Representing a lot of Midtown and other east Memphis neighborhoods, he won in an uncontested election after defeating a democratic challenger in the primaries.
On July 17, 2022, Harris was arrested for felony theft and misdemeanor assault, after police were called by Harris' ex-boyfriend.
