Troon (Cornish: Trewoon)[1] is a village in Cornwall, UK, 1+1⁄2 miles (2.5 kilometres) southeast of Camborne.
In 1972 the club was one of the participants in the inaugural National Village Competition, beating Astwood Bank in the final at Lord's.
Former Pakistan and ICL spinner Arshad Khan also represented the club in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
[10] Venues have included the King Edward Mine Playing Fields[11] and Little Haven Farm at Newton Moor.
St John's Church was built to the designs of George Wightwick four years earlier (opened in October 1841).
[13][14] The miner poet John Harris (1820–1884) is buried in the churchyard, where also is the mausoleum of the Pendarves family.
